CONE TREAT HOLDERS (EASTER)

This is a cute way to present Easter treats...

I would fill them with goodies and either put them

on guest's plates or you could hang them around the

house and let them find the ones with their name on....

also would be fun to hang on a neighbor's doorknob..

WITH THOUGHTS OF A FRIEND ...

Today my thoughts are with my sister and her family with

the loss of one of their family members...

He was a small man with a big heart and a smile that would

light up a room...he spoke very few words....but his eyes and

his smile showed everyone what he was thinking...

I remember when my niece and my daughter were little and he would attend

a family get-together....he would sit and watch the two of them

playing and his face would light up when they talked, laughed or

did something silly....he seemed to find pleasure in just watching

everything they did...

Every Christmas while my daughter was growing up a card would

arrive from him for her with money inside...we were so impressed

that he would do that even though he didn't know her well...another

sign of his 'big heart'...

He seemed to have a way of communicating without saying much...

but I can't help thinking today he is talking a lot with the angels in Heaven....

...we will miss him even though we didn't see him often...

he was one of those people in your life who are just always there...

and you knew you would see him again at some point...

so...your pain is over friend....and we will all see you again someday.....

Well here it is Ash Wednesday already...

it seems like it was just last week when I was posting

Christmas items on here....

Even though we have some bad weather in our forecast....

snow...freezing rain...wind gusts to 40 mph...etc...

and they just said some of the lakes in this area still have

40" to 50" of ice on them...

it's still Easter season!

so.....here is a nice little post that will take you to these

WEIGHT WATCHERS CHICKEN AND CHEESE CASSEROLE

Well, with not being happy with my test results at my doctor appointments,

I have gone into a 'healthier eating' mode now...

I am determined to get them looking better...

I guess you finally reach the point where you are ready to do it and nothing will stop you

from accomplishing it...

I am determined to keep it up because the difference it is making on my

glucose readings is so amazing...

I have struggled with them being out of control for a very long time

and now I am at the point where my doctor said

"keep up what you are doing"!

...this in itself is a great accomplishment for me...

....I gave up regular coca cola a long time ago...

and now healthier food...

I can do it...I can do it...I can do it...I am doing it.......

go me!!

...even though I know I have some serious health problems that I cannot

fix, I also know there are a few that I can...so that is a plus I think...

...now...this is where I am going with this...

I have been scanning the internet lately looking for healthy dishes to eat...

I came across this one and it looks so good I decided to share it

here on my blog....I like it because it doesn't take many ingredients to

make and it just looks delicious...I haven't tried it yet but I put it

at the top of my 'try this first' section in my 'healthy' recipe box...
