When we get this close to Christmas I am always looking for more
things to make...the house is decorated and the Christmas food is
planned....cards are done and sent...so now we have a few days to
just do fun things....

This is something any group of people would

CUPCAKE PAPER ANGELS

Oh how those childhood Christmas memories keep

appearing in my mind....

I believe I remember every Christmas tree we had and each and

every one of the decorations we had on them...

my dad would bring home the tree and say that it had to sit

for about a week and open up before we could put it up...

it went up the Sunday before Christmas most years....

...it's amazing how these things stand out so clear in the mind....

I could go on and on telling you all about them....but I'm sure

you all have beautiful Christmas memories yourself....

We would love to hear about some of them...what ornaments do you

remember most from your childhood tree?

...does anyone remember the large flower shaped, aluminum reflectors

that went behind those big light bulbs years ago?  I loved those!

AUTUMN PUMPKIN POPCORN

So many fun things you can do with popcorn now...

I used to make marshmallow popcorn balls which were

so good and now I have seen the same thing with

caramel added....yum!

I can't wait to try this one with pumpkin pie spices on it...

CREAMY CHICKEN NOODLE CASSEROLE

Two of my favorite foods combined...

spaghetti noodles and chicken....

and what's even better is that I can use lower sodium

cream of chicken soup and also low sodium

chicken broth ...perfect!

I am so happy they are coming out with more and more

low sodium items....it makes cooking more fun because I don't

have to worry about having too much in the dishes I make...

CHEDDAR CHEESE COOKIES RECIPE

This is another recipe I have had for a long time

and still have not made it.  Not sure why...sometimes these

things just get lost in my files and I forget about them until

I am looking for something else and there they are!

I cannot wait to try it...they look so good....

I wonder how they would be with a nice hot bowl

of chili or hot dish....or as it says...just for snacking

EASY HOMEMADE DIY SUNCATCHERS

Well here I am finally getting on my blog to post something...

I guess I have to talk to Google and see what's up as it only

lets me post about once out of 20 times that I try...

not sure if it's them or something odd with my computer but it sure

is frustrating...

...this is a great craft that I can't wait to try...

it's so easy and inexpensive to make too...

you can buy the stones at the dollar store in a couple

of different sizes and you get lots of them in a bag...

...this is also a good time to buy extra glue too because we

noticed they are already putting out the school supplies...

....I have been saving the little plastic covers from potato chip

cans and I am going to make some of these out of those...

I knew if I held onto them I would fine a good use for them....

....so...have fun with this....

Again how I wish I would have had the internet back

in my daycare years...

MASHED CARROT POTATOES WITH BACON

I guess just having Easter yesterday still has me thinking about

carrots...you know...Easter bunny and his carrots ??

....anyway, I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and that the weather

was great too....

I came across this recipe a few months ago and set it aside and almost

forgot about it until I happened upon it again tonight...

I can't wait to try this one...I think it must be great because when I

make a supper with potatoes and carrots I always mash them up together

on my plate while eating them....this recipe will do that for me!

CAKE MIX SUGAR COOKIES

I love the idea of being able to write up my

blog posts in advance and have them automatically

post when I want them to...I am not really here right

now...waving from wherever I am at...but I made up

this post a couple weeks in advance...love it....!

I am amazed every time I see a recipe for

cookies or bread where the main ingredient is

a boxed cake mix...I mean...all those years

of measuring out ingredient after ingredient just to

make a few pans of cookies...

as they say...where has this been all my life!

...my husband really likes the breads made with

cake mixes and it's a quick and easy dessert

that I can make for him...I love the idea of it taking

very little time and very little ingredients....

...these cookies are not only fast to make and

delicious but they are beautiful for Easter too....

I especially like the fact that it uses a white

cake mix because that means I can buy it in

sugar-free and eat some of them too!

POTATO CHIP PIE CRUST

Here is a recipe that I can't eat myself because

of the sodium in the chips...but I know there are people

out there who can....and who enjoy a very...very...unique

...this is one that I have never seen but I bet it is really good...

I'm sure you could make it with low sodium chips

but somehow I think it would change the taste a lot...

DOLLAR TREE CONTACT PAPER AND USED BOXES WALL ART

This is a really great idea to not only add some

color to your walls but you can make them any

size too ....everybody has at least one little wall

area that needs just a little something and this would

be so inexpensive and easy to make....

...the dollar store has many different colors and designs

of contact paper and the boxes you cover are so easy

to come by...just do this instead of tossing them in the

trash can....

CHEESY TOT CASSEROLE

I saw this recipe on my Facebook and I just have

to get it posted on here not only for any of you

UPDATE:  I made this one for supper tonight and it was just fantastic!

I did use Cream of Chicken soup

and added a little chopped onion to the meat mixture.  I have to say this

casserole is one of the best I have tried yet!

I divided it out into my ramekins so I would know exactly how much

sodium I was eating as opposed to putting it in a larger bowl and

just guessing at it...

I put some American cheese under the potatoes and then

sprinkled a little sharp shredded cheddar on top and

let it melt a few minutes before we ate...

love this recipe!!

CHEESE & ONION MUFFIN CAKE

Whenever I have something like a pork roast cooking

for the day I find myself scanning the internet for side dish

recipes...I always find lots of interesting ones and this is the

one I came across while looking today...

I love cheese and I love onion...so I love this recipe!

....the texture of this muffin cake looks great...

I won't make it today but I think next time I make chili it would be

a great side....

CROCHET BRACELET WITH A BUTTON

I am always looking for simple little crocheted bracelet

patterns because it's such a fun item to make for church sales

you make Rice Krispy treats and instead of putting into
