PLASTIC CANVAS FACE MASK CLIPS

PLASTIC CANVAS FACE MASK CLIPS

I have been sitting back wondering how I could help with this pandemic...
I wanted to do something for people who are spending their days working
in hospitals, grocery stores and restaurant workers who have to be there
to provide food ...also for everyone when they go out and about shopping....

I decided since I can't really go and physically help out I would do it in another
way...using my favorite thing...my crafts....

First I crocheted headbands with mask buttons which I will post here a little later...
I donated some of them to medical workers at a local facility here....they were fun to make
and they seemed happy to get them....

Then I wanted something else that I could put together really fast to be able
to give them out to a larger number of people....

So....this is what I am doing...

These are little button clips that sit at the lower back of the head and hold the face mask
in place....I think they are cute and should make it more comfortable for people who have to
wear a mask for hours a day at work....

I am sharing my very quick and easy pattern here in hopes that some of you crafters
will help out and make some to give away too...there is no better feeling than to feel
that you are doing something to help out at times like this....if not or if you have just
enough time to make some for your own family please do that....all I ask is that you
wear your masks to stay safe!

Pattern is below...if you use it please share a comment or a picture of the clips you
made.....

Enjoy!

PAPER CUP CHICK BASKET

I guess I never have gotten out of the daycare mode.  I still find myself keeping these cute little crafts like I did back then. But now it's much easier than it used to be. I think I have mentioned before that I used to have to hand draw the crafts for my daycare kids.  I spent hours on it but it was worth it because they had so much fun making things.

Now with computers and printers and those fancy paper cutting machines
it's so much faster to prepare for 'Craft Day'
Not to mention the thousands and thousands of ideas you find around the internet...
especially on Pinterest.

So here is a very cute and easy little Easter project...whether it's for your daycare
kids, your own kids, grandchildren, school class, Sunday school class...
wherever you spend time with kids...this would be a hit for sure...
might I suggest you buy a bag of jelly beans or some kind of yummy goodies
to fill them up with before they take them home....this always makes the
project even more fun!....and I know how much the parents love their kids
munching down a nice sugary treat before dinner!

But look how cute cute cute this is...I love it!

You can get the instructions and a printable pattern
for all the parts here:

CLOTHESPIN REINDEER

I was looking for something I could make a lot of
in a hurry and I came across a few of these
around the internet....

I thought they were pretty cute so I did some in my own way...
they were so easy I just sat on the couch and glued everything together...
let it dry overnight and added the ribbon....

I added them to some gifts as a little extra something and
so far everyone has loved them....

....next year I will make some to donate just to brighten the
day for people that can't spend Christmas season at home...
...I don't have an exact pattern for them because I didn't follow one
myself and I think they are pretty easy to create without one....
...just simple spring clothespins....google eyes...yarn ribbon...little red
pompoms...I used the 1/2" size and they were perfect....
...have fun and create some to just hand out and make people happy!

Enjoy!

JACK-O-LANTERN QUESADILLAS

This is an easy and quick supper idea to have before
heading out to the mall or wherever your kids do their
Trick or Treating on Halloween night....

Supper can get a bit hectic especially when
it lands on a night during the week when there is work
and school during the day...
I always thought they should change Halloween celebrating
to a Friday or Saturday every year...because it's just not as much fun
when you know you have to be up and about early the next
morning...but...they don't listen to me!

When I was
Trick or Treating I remember that my mom would
make hot dogs and pork and beans for supper before we went out
to collect our candy....so many fond memories....

...this is such a fun idea...wish I had one to eat
right now!

...here are the easy instructions to make these...
she has a really nice blog so you may want to
look around while you are there...

GHOST TASSELS

I guess it's not too early to start getting things done
for Halloween....for some reason I feel like we are still
in the month of August....

If you are looking for a quick and easy little project that does
not cost much to make... I think this might just be it.....
these little Ghost Tassels are great....
I am having so much fun making them...
you can make bunches of them in no time and hang them
around your house, or carry them in and hand them out
to co-workers....a little day brightener....and...I think
it would be easy to attach a little candy bar treat to them too....

....go here...
for this fun idea!

CHOCOLATE PUDDING PIE IN A JAR

It's amazing how much I love mason jars....
but even more amazing that I don't own any...
it's one of those things that you always planned to buy..
but figured you would do it next time...
one of these days they will be in my kitchen....

I remember playing outside when I was a kid and we would
run in the house now and then because usually we would find
my mom in the kitchen making one of her special treats....
one of them was pudding...vanilla or chocolate mostly...
but as I remember it she made it from scratch...I kind of remember
it involving cornstarch...not sure about that but you know how
childhood memories go...
the fun part of it was that when we ate it we had it in
a bowl and she put milk and sugar on it...I thought it was amazing
that the milk turned 'chocolate' while I was eating it...did everyone serve it
that way back then? ....we also ate jello with milk and sugar on...

...and yes I do also remember her making chocolate pie with a
graham cracker crust....but she put a huge amount of meringue on it...
I loved it!
oh how I miss those days....

...anyway...this recipe reminded me of all of that...
this is such a cute way of making chocolate pie...
enjoy!

...as you can tell I really do like to post recipes and crafts from some years
back...I figure a lot of us have either forgotten about them or missed
them when they were flying around Pinterest...

VALENTINE'S DAY KISSES

I really like little, cute and easy crafts...
especially for holidays...

....if you still need to put together something
quick for Valentine's Day this is the
perfect little project....

...all you need is candy kisses, a toothpick...and...
a paper heart....I don't have one of those two
or three hundred dollar craft cutting machines...
(sooo wish I did)
...but I do know how to cut a heart shape out of
a pretty piece of paper....that's easy...

...so go ahead and make these...bunches of these....and
just flutter around like a little Cupid handing them out
here and there....I guarantee one of these on Valentine's Day
will make anyone smile....

...look how cute they are!

...great instructions here...
